Chapter 5's end. Chapter 6's beginning. by SketchLines

Chapter 5 is coming to a close, fucking finally. Now some fighting.

I'm still currently writing chapter 6, which is the fight against the vampire and what happens after. I already wrote everything, but much like storyboarding, i'll more than likely have to revise it, change specific parts to make everything make sense, or throw away entire chunks of work.

I hope to not have any delays, but with a new chapter comes new problems, not even mentioning the fact i have summer classes, and that's already time consuming enough.

I have to make sure that each chapter's scenarios blend in well with other chapters. Unfortunately I can't say the same with earlier chapters, but hey, live, regret, and learn. I want the story to make sense, no matter how wacky or ridiculous it can be at times. I mean, it's a story about people who haven't seen the sun. It's pretty ridiculous on its own merit, but regardless, it's what i wanted to write about.

I hope i'll be able to update this faster so i can get over this fucking vampire thing. Don't get me wrong, her involvement in the story is very important, but writing about it for a few months (hell, even A month) can be fucking frustrating. Much like editing a video, you get tired of it after the 100th time you've seen/heard it.

Anyways, thanks to everyone who's put up with the delays and bothered to read and kept reading my comic. Here's to the chapter that will get this fucking story rolling.

Dude, I know exactly what you are talking about. I feel like I can't really judge whether my work is actually good because at a point you know it too well. I need an outsiders perspective when I work on stuff

@Ian Evans: Exactly dude! I'm at the point where i'm questioning my pacing. I've no clue whether or not i'm allowing time for characterization or if i'm going to slow whenever i do characterization, hence why i stopped doing Simon's character development when I was peer pressured into getting a plot situated early when that one guy commented on it. That being said, i should've probably done my own thing, it would've been nice to see Simon's character as he is now so we can understand how he grows through the series. I want character development to be one of the sole purposes of this story.

Also, i'm sorry that i haven't been reading your Psychodessy. It looks very interesting but i've been putting it off. I hope that i'm not coming off like some guy who says they'll read your comic so that you'll still like me or whatever. That's not what i'm trying to do. Judging from your typing you seem very knowledgable about what you're doing and what you want from your comic and its story and i really admire that.

One day i need to seriously give Psychodessy a read.

Anyways, good luck on your project man :) you got a good following going.

@SketchLines: hahahahaha bro, don't even worry about my comic right now. I know you are grinding out mad college. I dropped out, so I respect you for that. I haven't even got to the good part in the psychodyssey, so you aren't missing anything. To be Honest it's just nice to talk to someone who has similar struggles with the creative process. Knowing that you update makes me want to update, ya know?

@Ian Evans: Yeah dude same. Admittedly I get excited when I'm able to talk to you about writing or story progression. In its own way it helps me become aware of what I should sacrifice and what I shouldn't. Whether I should scrap the story and rewrite it again and again or just let the story naturally flow and from its own personality, regardless of what's wrong from the beginning.

I really gotta thank you for that honestly. If it wasn't for you, Stale would be back at page 1. You made me realize that through my own mistakes and mishaps through my earlier writing that I'll learn from it and even though I'm embarrassed to look back at older pages, that I should just keep going and make the future chapters shine brighter than the last.

Thanks man, I appreciate ya'. I'll be reading psychodessy when I get the time man. And i'm not saying that to be a kiss ass. (even though looking at the text i've written thus far i'm already doing it :/)
