Stale's story progression by SketchLines

I'm actually very pleased with the direction the story is going. Unfortunately that can't be displayed with the current pages and in our current chapter, but i'm very, very pleased with Simon's characterization.

I just want people to know, before they keep reading, that Simon is a very unlikeable main character. He's got no charm, he's got no motivation and only focuses on his own problems rather than everyone else's, he's no hero. He's not a likeable main character, and that's exactly what I want to write about. I want to see him descend deeper and deeper into madness. I just wanted folks to know what they're in for after these chapters.

I'm also trying my damned hardest to come out with these pages faster, but I'm so busy and not only that: i've also got my own inner demons to fight. I know it's cliche of me to say and it's complainy, but it's true. Some days I literally can't bring myself to write or draw anything because I feel that the thing I'm making is garbage and i'm ashamed of myself for making something as awful as it is.

However, I feel compelled to keep going. I want to become a better writer. I want to become a better cartoonist. I want to explore these worlds and tell stories. I guess I needed some place to have an outlet, since I really don't have anyone in reality to help me cope, honestly.

Thanks for reading guys. I'm going to try to post more pages throughout the week, but if I can't do that, at least 1 page a week will be here. Sorry guys.
